  • Your filing status must be: single, head of household or married filing jointly where neither the Primary taxpayer nor the Spouse is deceased;
  • If you have nontaxable combat pay the election to include combat pay in earned income (for purposes of the Federal Earned Income Credit) is not being made;
  • If you were a (full year) resident of one of the following states: AZ, GA, MI, MO, NC, or PA and you want average1040 to e-file the 2016 state return, the state return must fit within a copy of the state forms and schedules listed below.
